Semester Review

What I have learned thus far throughout the semester is how to find the part of a whole if their is a ratio to proportion it to.

If 12 students in a class of 20 students are girls, how many girls would their be in a class of 30?

    =
    x/30

    To find x you need to find out how to get from 20 to 30. Half of 20 is 10, so add them together to get 30. Half of 12 is 6, so add them together and get 18. So, x=18 girls.
